We are fast approaching the multi-year reunion of our alma mater. New York seems to be rolling out the red carpet to meet us! Some of us will just let the occasion pass, but many will celebrate the event and reminisce about those good times we had at DAHS and renew friendships with old friends.

Think reunions are passe? Think again!

I was contacted by a producer for a nationally known talk show hostess and former WNBC-TV newscaster (whose name I am not allowed to write here -- but I can give hints... have you watched the morning news today? There's no dateline. I wonder where my Doonesbury comic went...). This hostess will be premiering her brand new nationally syndicated network talk show in the fall, and wants to interview 10-15 women who graduated between 1970 and 1979 for a piece she is doing on reunions and lifestyles. The committee have agreed to allow the NBC cameras at the reunion briefly to shoot some footage for use in this segment. We encourage ALL women who are attending the reunion to consider being interviewed and letting the world know about your passions, or simply grabbing your 15 minutes of fame! A Few Words About The Deadline: Officially, the deadline for registration is July 9. This is our caterer's rule. We would accept all your registrations up to the last moment at the door, if we could, but that's just not possible. The caterer needs to know how many she is serving and only allows for 5-10% wiggle room. I've already promised a few people they could pay at the door with cash, but this is strictly on a first come, first serve basis. At this point, the maximum number of people we figure we can accept at the door is 10-15.

We don't want to turn anyone away, so please, get your registration and payment in to me ASAP or talk to me if you're thinking about paying at the door.

Luke, Nancy, Dave and Debi have been drumming up publicity and covering logistics. I've been busy too, keeping you informed of our progress and processing your registrations. We've all really enjoyed this project so much! It's been a real pleasure speaking with all our classmates again. We can't wait to see you... speaking of which...

We know you will want to attend the pre-party on Friday, July 16 at the newly renovated Classics Sports Bar & Grill, 3271 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, diagonally across from K-Mart (formerly TSS), on the NW corner of Hempstead Tpke and Jerusalem Avenue. This is the grand re-opening of this fine establishment under noew ownership, and we have been invited to break the place in! WTG!
